Not a packrat!

I read a blog in Fischbowl about a guy who said that since a young age he has always been able to find things on the side of the road. He said that he would find money, jewelry, valuables, and he even found a bike in the woods one time. He did admit that since he has gotten older he has tried not to pick up things that he sees. He tries to clean out his collection often.
I am not like that. I am lucky if I find a dollar in my jeans before I wash them. I would probably never pick up money on the walkway unless it is paper money. I know even that can have germs but the idea of getting coins off the sidewalk kind of gross me out. I guess somepeople are just lucky and things just happen to come thier way.

I found a school in New Zealand that uses a blog. St. Matthews School. The shool uses the blog to tell everyone about their school and has pictures about different events. Right now they have some showing people putting ash on thier heads for Ash Wednesday. They aslo show pictures of people fixing up thier library. Here is the link:

International blogs

There is a school in Bangkok. It is a Christian school. If you go to the blog, it will tell you about different things like new open positions, about the school, and it is a way for the parents to get news. It also tells you things like the fees for the school and how to become a student.

Blogs

I found a website that talks about two teachers who use logs. One is a second grade teacher out of Fredrick Co. MD. Her name is Marisa L. Dudiack. She began using the blog after her class went to a Native American farm. She said the it is great because it allows everyone to have a say without causing a problem in the classroom.
The second teacher is Catherine Poling. She says that when she taught a class, she would have a bunch of hardback journals on her desk. Blogs can do away with this problem. It also allows her to respond to the kids blogs right away. The site is www.nytimes.com
